What Is The ITV Winsday Prize Draw?

Most of the competitions on ITV are for huge prizes that will make a huge difference to the lives of the lucky winner. The Winsday draw is a bit different and creates thousands of winners every week.

At the time of writing, there’s over 3,000 prizes to be won in each weekly draw. That’s made up of a combination of cash, bonus tokens and entry credits, more on what they are later.

The way that you get entries into the Winsday competition is a little different too – there’s no direct way to pay to enter. It’s free to enter in the sense that you get the entries into the weekly draw without paying anything extra.

How To Enter ITV Winsday

There are two methods of getting an entry into the hat in the hope of winning a prize each week. In total you can get up to sixty entries, thirty from each entry route.

Watching The Video Feed

When you’re logged into your ITV Win account at itv.com/win, you’ll see a Profile tab on the top menu of the site. This will show you what’s in your account, such as tickets into the Winsday draw, along with your paid competition entries, cash prizes and bonus tokens.

Click the info link next to the Winsday tickets, and you’ll see a section at the bottom of the pop out window on a desktop computer or at the bottom of your mobile screen with a Play button to watch promotional videos (here) in exchange for free entries into the weekly draw.

All you need to do is watch them play and every so often (usually roughly every 90 seconds) you’ll see a teal (green) coloured ticket appear over the video. Just click it (or tap on a mobile device) and you’ll see a counter of the number of tickets increase under the video.

You can earn up to 30 Winsday tickets per week using this method, with no paid entries requirement to be in with a chance of winning.

You don’t have to do them all in one go and it doesn’t matter if you miss a ticket popping up. Just keep going until you’ve got as many tickets as you want to get in the draw, up to a maximum of thirty across the week. The closing date for each draw is 1am going from Tuesday into Wednesday every week – with the next draw immediately opening as soon as the last one closes.

It’s worth noting, if you miss a few ticket in a row you might get an error message because you’ve been inactive – don’t worry, the tickets earned so far will be saved, just reload the page and start again to earn the remaining tickets.

Entering Paid Competitions

Now that you’re able to get the first thirty entries from watching videos, you can top up to a maximum of sixty overall with an additional thirty if you regularly enter the ITV competitions via the online portal.

Getting tickets this way is automatic – each paid entry you complete online through the ITV Win website will get you a ticket – so if you’re a big player on ITV’s site you can get up to thirty. I’m not suggesting you should do that just to get the Winsday tickets unless you normally enter that many times – it’s just an added bonus alongside the bonus tokens when you pay to enter a competition.

Winsday Prizes

As we mentioned at the top of this page, there are three types of prizes to win in each draw, and there are over 3,000 prizes to be won each week (as of October 2023).

Let’s have a quick run down of each prize type:

  • Cash Prizes
Let’s start with the popular prize everyone wants to win – cold hard cash! I’ve had a few cash prizes over the last couple of years, with most being a fiver. At one point ITV said that cash prizes range up to £500, but I’ve not seen that for a long time so can’t be sure if that’s still the maximum prize.
  • Entry Credits
I’ve had a few entry credit prizes but haven’t seen them very often. I’ve has a single credit or two credit prize – again I don’t know if higher amounts can be won with a single ticket. Each entry credit can be used to get a free entry into a paid competition on the ITV website, which effectively works by discounting the entry cost when you next enter. For example, if you buy 5 entries into one of the normal £2.00 per entry competitions, having 2 entry credits in your account will reduce the cost from £10.00 to £6.00, and you’ll still get the same number of entries, tokens and Winsday draw tickets as you would when paying in full.
  • Bonus Tokens
Bonus tokens are the same as the ones you get when entering paid competitions. While you get 20 per entry into paid draws, the number you can win as a prize in a Winsday draw vary. I’ve seen five and ten, but have heard that 20 token prizes to occur too.

Claiming Winsday Prizes

Every Wednesday, the latest draw results become available at 3pm on the ITV Win site at itv.com/win, log in and go to your Profile on the menu at the top. Select the Winsday tickets option and you’ll see that you can check your tickets from the previous week’s draw.

You can either check them individually or click the Autocheck button to do them all in one go. You’ll see whether or not you’ve been lucky and won a prize, and there’s a brief animation to show your balance of cash, tokens or entry credits rise depending on what you’ve won.

If you win tokens or entry credits, you will see they get added automatically to your balance when you click the Profile tab at the top of the ITV Win site.

Cash prizes are a little different – you need to claim them after checking your tickets and either withdraw them to your bank account via PayPal, buy entry credits with them (£2 for one credit, £5 for three credits or £10 for seven credits), or there’s a final option to arrange to collect your win at the post office.

Just make sure that you claim by revealing your tickets within 28 days of each closing date as prizes do expire if they’re not claimed.
