David Dickinson’s ITV1 afternoon show, Dickinson’s Real Deal, has been on our screens since 2006.

The show features modern antiques brought along by the general public for valuations with the potential to sell them to one of the expert dealers on the show.

While David is an expert in antiques himself, earlier presenting Bargain Hunt for the BBC, on his ITV show he often takes the side of the member of the public to get them the best price for their items.

His team of experts has varied over time, but the format has broadly stayed the same, with the idea being that people get the best price for selling their possessions, either by accepting the dealer’s offer or by taking them to auction with David to sell them under the gavel.

The show almost always carries a cash competition for viewers, and you can find the details for the latest prize draw below.

Dickinson’s Real Deal Competition Prizes

David Dickinson’s prize draws always seem to feature impressive cash prizes, sometimes as much as £100,000. The cash amounts vary a lot, with some of the largest competitions running over several weeks.

The Latest Real Deal Competition

Real Deal is more like GMB and This Morning than the other afternoon game shows like Tipping Point, as they almost always run a competition. The other afternoon programming tend to have a new competition every few weeks or so.

When on air, you will find the details of the latest competition here, and for this competition entries have closed to win £75,000 in cash.

Entry Routes To Win £75,000 Cash

Closing Dates For Entering To Win £75,000 in cash

Real Deal draws generally run for at least a couple of weeks, and occasionally as long as four weeks. Those month long prize draws usually mean the biggest prizes are up for grabs – typically up to £100,000 cash.

Paid route closing dates tend to fall on a Friday unless there’s bank holidays during the time the comp runs, with free postal entries generally needing to arrive by the following Thursday afternoon.

More specifically for the current competition when one’s running, here are the dates and times you’ll need to get your entry in to win £75,000 in cash:

How To Enter The real Deal Competition

Let’s move on to the nuts and bolts of how to actually lodge your entry, and we’ll go through them one by one.

The Dickinson’s Real Deal Competition Phone Number

To enter by phone, just call 0906 87 88 123. Calls cost £2.00 plus your standard network access charge on your phone bill.

You can enter this way from a landline or mobile phone with the bill payer’s permission.

Phone lines close on 11th March 2024 at 10:00am.

The Dickinson’s Real Deal Competition Text Number

If you’d like to enter from your mobile phone by text instead of calling, it’s easy to do. You just need to send a message just like you would to anyone else, except the number is a shortcode instead of a normal phone number.

Send your message to the number 68123 with the message WINNER.

When you enter by text, ITV will send you details of competitions in the future, whether that’s Real Deal prize draws, one of their other show contests, or even prizes to be won that aren’t featured on TV at all.

If you’d prefer not to receive those messages, you can opt out of marketing by appending NO INFO to the text message. In other words, you would need to send full message reading WINNER NO INFO if you wish to avoid the marketing messages after entering the competitions by text message.

Your entry will cost you £2.00 on your next mobile bill, in addition to your standard messaging cost.

Text entries need to be completed by 11th March 2024 at 10:00am in order to qualify for the competition.

The Dickinson’s Real Deal Competition Online Entry

Online entry costs £2.00 for a single entry through the website at ITV Win. Like most of the competitions at itv.com/win, you can get discounted ‘per entry’ prices when you enter multiple times and you can see the exact info on the entry form.

In addition, when you enter online, you also get a couple of extras thrown in too. The first is one Winsday competition entry per paid competition entry (up to a maximum of 30 entries per week). You can read more on Winsday here.

The second extra is bonus tokens. When you enter most competitions that are featured on ITV TV shows, you’ll get 20 bonus tokens for each paid entry you buy. Bonus tokens can then be used to enter the bonus competitions on ITV Win, or sometimes enter quizzes like Seconds To Know.

Finally, as we alluded to a couple of paragraphs back, you can sometimes get extra entries into the main draw when you enter more than once. For example, this could be on a ‘buy three get three free’ style offer. These are all laid out after you click the ‘Enter Online Now’ button on the website.

To enter online, you’ll just need to head over to the ITV Win website and click the Real Deal competition tile. Alternatively just go straight to the competition entry page here.

The Dickinson’s Real Deal Competition Postal Entry

The best thing about postal entries is that they’re free! Some people argue that because you need a stamp for the envelope you have to pay to enter, but legally, postal entry classes as a free route because it’s no more expensive than sending any other letter to use the postal system. There’s no additional cost paid to ITV to enter this way, so it qualifies as a free entry route by law.

To take advantage of this cheaper route, while you need to buy a stamp, it’s far cheaper than the £2.00 paid entry fee.

Just send your name and phone number in an envelope to:

DRD 0988
PO Box 7558
Derby
DE1 0NQ

If you prefer, it’s fine to use a postcard instead of putting your details into an envelope, and it doesn’t matter whether you use a first or second class stamp in the post.

What does matter is to make sure it arrives with ITV’s mail centre by 14th March 2024 at 4:00pm.
